Swindon Paint Fest
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Swindon Paint Fest is Swindon's first street art festival, founded in 2022 and organised by Artsite. The festival was created to bring murals, public art and creative events to the town as part of Swindon's regeneration, while inspiring the community and providing a platform for artists to showcase their talent.
Back in the 1980s, Swindon was the unlikely mural capital of the UK, boasting more than 40 murals. Today, only Ken White's 1976 Golden Lion Bridge and Sarah Faulkner's 1985 Arkells Brewery mural remain. One of the festival's key ambitions is to put Swindon firmly back on the street art map. Since its launch, Paint Fest has had a hugely positive impact on both the town and its community, and we remain committed to building on that success.
Since its debut in 2022, Swindon Paint Fest has delivered four successful festivals, with the most recent taking place in 2025. The festival has grown year on year, earning international recognition and attracting hundreds of visitors. More than 50 artists have taken part, with some travelling from as far as the United States, Australia, Greece, France and Spain. Alongside the creation of murals, the festival has featured workshops, exhibitions and live painting, leaving a lasting transformation across Swindon.
We are now looking ahead to Swindon Paint Fest 2027, continuing our mission to bring world-class street art, creative experiences and community engagement to the town.
